The Vicksburg-Warren County
Economic Development Foundation (EDF) is one of the most respected
economic development organizations in Mississippi.
While the Foundation's
professional economic developers work to attract business and industry to
the areas, members of the EDF, ranging from interested citizens and small
business businessmen to representatives of Fortune 500 Companies have
formed working committees to unite the people of Vicksburg and Warren
County in a program of economic and community development.
A corporation
working hand in hand with the Warren County Port Commission which, in
turn, works closely with City and County officials, the Vicksburg-Warren County EDF employs programs and policies directly aimed
at creating a prosperous environment for new, existing, and expanding
industry.
As an intermediary with
many local, state, and national agencies and companies, the Vicksburg-Warren
County Economic Development Foundation is well organized and results
oriented, contributing significantly to the industrial development of the
area.
Maintaining a
complete
inventory on affordable public and private properties available for
industrial or commercial use, the EDF serves as an information clearinghouse
for business and industry.
Vicksburg and Warren County
face the future with a sound basic economy and unlimited
possibilities.
